Dr Paul Langlois, CAE Software Development Manager at SMT, has been appointed a BSI Committee Member for the MCE/5/-/6 “Calculation of gear performance” group which is responsible for the UK input into the work of ISO/TC 60/SC 2/WG 6. ISO/TC 60/SC 2/WG 6 is responsible for the development of international standards for gear calculations such as ISO 6336.
Now volunteering his time and expertise, SMT congratulates Paul on his new role and wish to support him where they can on the responsibilities entailed.
Established in 1901, the BSI is one of the oldest established standards authorities and for over a century challenged mediocrity and complacency to help embed excellence into the way people and products work.
